A Study of Pregnancy Rates following Intrauterine Insemination after Ovarian Hyperstimulation

Abstract

|
|
This study was to evaluate the effect of ovarian hyperstimulation on pregnancy rates after intrauterine insemination of the husband's semen which had been prepared by the percoll gradient method.
164 patients had intrauterine insemination between Apr. 1990 and Nov. 1993.
Ovarian hyperstimulation together with intrauterine insemination resulted in 49 pregnancies in 164 patients during 315 cycles given a pregnancy rate of 29.88%. superovulation with clomid in 0.11 cycle fecundity, with clomid and hMG 0.14 cycle
fecundity
and 0.35 with FSH and hMG. Like previous reports, this result shows that ovarian hyperstimulation contributes to increasing the pregnancy rates.
